Thulamntwana Combined School is an independent and co-educational school established in the informal settlement of Kanana Park, Grasmere over 20 years ago at that time where there were no schools established within a 10km radius. The area was an informal settlement with no running water and proper sanitation, but it has not deterred the school in running a clean and safe environment for learners to be educated.
Mr. Basil Lenkoe is the founding member and director of the Thulamntwana Combined School together with its sister schools, Johweto Combined School and Rabasotho Combined School.
We strive to produce a well-rounded citizen imbued with moral values of our country. Who will achieve full potential and contribute positively to the community and society at large.
We always ensure that our educational programs are guided by the principles of self-reliance and independent thought.
Our values-driven education is best expressed through our core values which are woven into our all our activities. These are integrity, tolerance and respect.
We are dedicated to making sure that our students and staff interact in an atmosphere where there is mutual respect and confidence; one that is pleasant, inspiring and stimulating, where students take responsibility for their learning and conduct.
Thulamntwana is proud of its academic record which keeps getting better. This record is the result of hard work by students and dedicated teaching staff. The fact that each year a large number of our learners receive placements in tertiary institutions to study further speaks volumes.
