Our School & Community

Thulamntwana Combined School currently enrolls 600 learners from Grade R – Grade 12 The school is registered by the Department of Education and accredited by Umalusi. While our school is open to all persons irrespective of their race, our school learners consist entirely of black African children representing the demographic of the community we serve.

The community around the school is an informal settlement mainly home to black Africans, with challenges of poverty, child-headed household’s, high crimes and vandalism.The school creates a safe environment for the learners, even though the community environments to which the learners are exposed to may not be conducive because of high drug use, gang activity and violence.
